Meet the Doctors

Dr. Scott Silver

Autosave-File vom d-lab2/3 der AgfaPhoto GmbHScott Silver, DMD, holds a BA in biological sciences from Rutgers University and is a 1982 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he joined his father’s practice in Haddon Townshop and has been practicing at that location ever since. He serves as an attending physician at Cooper Medical Center in Camden and is an active member of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM), the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and the Holistic Dental Association (HDA).

“Dr. Scott” was raised in Haddon Township and is a 1973 graduate of Haddon Township High School. He and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Melissa and Meredith. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, as well as playing the trumpet. Scott felt called to practice dentistry following in the footsteps of his father, who enjoyed and thrived at this dental practice for 58 years. Scott feels privileged to have been able to partner with him in practice until his father’s passing in 2005.

Dr. Louis M. Steinberg

DrSteinbergDr. Steinberg graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry and joined the faculty of the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery shortly after. While at Columbia, he earned an MS from the Institute of Human Nutrition and became a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow in nutrition research. He began his private practice in West New York in 1989 while continuing to teach graduate and postgraduate dentists, and publish studies on periodontal disease, dental caries and nutrition at the Center for Clinical Research in Dentistry at Columbia University and later in the Division of Oral Biology of the New Jersey Dental School of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

In 2014, Dr. Steinberg became CEDH certified in homeopathy. Dr. Steinberg is also highly active in the environmental movement, concerned that the level of illness we see today is related to deterioration of our food supply and the impacts of climate change. He presently serves on the steering committee for 350NJ and is chair of the social action committee of the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County.

His hobbies include gardening, tropical fish and cycling. He is married with two boys. His wife, Carolyn, is the office manager.
